GREATER DES MOINES - From time to time, jobs, lives, leadership and just plain living can become very stressful, and if not careful, people can very easily lose their perspectives.  "Staying UP" to some can seem like living in the clouds of unrealism.  The reality is that everyone can stay UP even in down times.  “Staying Up in and Upside Down World” is the title of the presentation for the second annual Regional Chamber luncheon, scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Meadows Ballroom at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona. Presented by Steve Siemens, the program will look at some different areas and skills and empower people to implement these skills into their lives, work and community.  The session will be fun, informative, and a breath of fresh air on tax deadline day.

All Affiliate Chamber members of the Greater Des Moines Partnership are invited to attend.  The program runs from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.   The cost for the luncheon presentation for Regional Chamber-Greater Des Moines Partnership members is $30.00.  The cost for non-Members is $40.00.  This event is hosted by Altoona, Ankeny, East Des Moines, South Des Moines, Waukee, and West Des Moines Chambers.

Online registration is available by visiting :  www.desmoinesmetro.com/events

The first regional Chamber luncheon was hosted by West Des Moines in April of 2010.  Approximately 300 business people attended.   For more information, contact the Greater Des Moines Partnership at (515) 286-4950.  Media inquiries should be directed to Susan Ramsey at (515) 286-4954 or sramsey@ desmoinesmetro.com.
