| Historic East Village holds Gala event |

| Historic East Village is holding their annual Gala event March 30th, 2010 at the beautiful Iowa State Bar Association, 625 East Court. This "can't miss" event features live and silent auctions of amazing gifts and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, food from East Village restaurants, wine, beer, and live jazz. The fun starts at 6 pm.
The Gala provides the primary funds used to help Historic East Village continue to grow and shine as one of the city's jewels and achieve our mission to lead the preservation, support, and development of the East Village community.
Advance tickets are $40 and are available online (courtesy of East Village Spa's online store). All advance purchase tickets will be held at will-call. Tickets are $50 at the door.

Good afternoon everyone. I'm e-mailing you all to ask for your support to help me reach my fund-raising goal for the St. Baldricks Foundation. I'm always on the lookout for ways to support great causes and I ran across this upcoming event to raise funds for children's cancer research. Now, supporting the foundation through the fund-raising effort was easy for me to get behind, it was the product of my involvement that was the hardest for me to jump-on-board with. Next Tuesday, March 2nd, I will be taking part in the head shaving ceremony at The Funnybone Comedy Club. For those that know me really well, I don't usually have a hair out of place unless I'm wearing a cap. So, this will be an exciting adventure and I look forward to the questions resulting from my drastic appearance change. Please take a moment to visit my participant website. understands how important
a Teddy Bear can be and
has, since 2001, assembled
and distributed 11,000
custom-made Teddy Bears
through their “Bear Hug”
project, one for each child
age 12 and under, of
