Four Des Moines Area Chambers Celebrate New Office Space
The four Des Moines Chambers of Commerce are celebrating their shared office space and the generosity of DRG Planning and Design with a ribbon cutting to commemorate the new space. They have invited community members to join them.
Hiring: Administrative Assistant
The East & South Des Moines Chambers are currently taking applications for an administrative assistant. This is a part time job, with hourly pay to assist the executive director of the chambers on a daily basis.

Four Des Moines Chambers to Share Office Space Downtown
In a move to better serve Des Moines businesses, four Des Moines Chambers of Commerce will centralize operations effective March 1, while maintaining separate boards, memberships, and executive directors.

Speaker: Ambassador Kenneth Quinn
For the past 10 years, Ambassador Kenneth Quinn has been endeavoring to build the Des Moines based World Food Prize into the Nobel Prize for Food and Agriculture. Each October, his foundation brings individuals from more than 60 countries here for a three day symposium on global food security and the presentation of their $250,000 prize to the newest laureate. They also hold a global youth institute which seeks to inspire high school students to pursue education and careers in life sciences. Quinn, who grew up in Dubuque was US ambassador to Cambodia from 1996-99.
