The East Des Moines Chamber of Commerce (EDMC) has served as the voice of East side business for more than 30 years. Most recently functioning as an “arm” of a regional economic development organization, the EDMC in 2008 became a stand-alone organization and presently serves about 100 business members.

Members of the Chamber can engage in a variety of activities and take advantage of many opportunities to network, become involved in the larger business community, and grow their businesses through this increased involvement.

The EDMC offers traditional business growth and development opportunities such as networking events, sponsorship opportunities, and promotion of individual member news items.

EDMC is also a regional leader in the use of online “social media” tools for promoting not only the Chamber, but also individual members. These tools include this blog-based website, Facebook, Twitter, and a members-only online networking community.
